Liguori Announces New Saints and Me! Set: "Saints for Sacraments"
Liguori announces its newest additions to the popular Saints and Me! Series—Teresa of Ávila, Louis and Zélie Martin, John Vianney and Padre Pio, which will be available in August 2018. Liguori author Barbara Yoffie continues to delight children and parents with her new seven-book series, Saints for Sacraments.
Liguori and Yoffie worked closely to select saints who best represented each of the seven sacraments. In the end, they chose eight saints, both popular and lesser known, that shared a deep love and understanding of their sacrament.
Saint Teresa of Ávila was chosen because of her great love of the Eucharist. Saints Louis and Zélie Martin were the first married saints to be canonized together and taught their daughters to love God and serve the poor. Saint John Vianney is the patron saint of parish priests. And Padre Pio helped people make a good confession.
The final books of the series arrive in February 2019, and consists of John the Baptist for baptism, Saint Philip Neri for confirmation and Saint Maximilian Kolbe for Anointing of the Sick.
Also, Liguori offers a Saints for Sacraments Activity Book to help your children further interact with these saints.
The Saints for Sacraments series is a welcome addition to the previous groups: Saints of North America, Saints of Christmas, Saints for Families and Saints for Communities.
“Our Saints and Me! books have always been well received in the past for their writing and colorful illustrations. People would often ask if we had any similar books about the sacraments, which is why we decided to do the Saints for Sacraments series,” said Chuck Healy, Sales and Customer Service Manager at Liguori.
Liguori believes the Saints for Sacraments series will help kids remember the sacraments while the stories of these inspiring saints to life.
