Grandparents Day
Pope Francis announced earlier this year that the Church has established a World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly, to be held on the fourth Sunday of July, close to the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus and parents of Mother Mary. In 2021, the celebration for seniors will occur on July 25.
“Old age is a gift and grandparents are the links between generations, passing on the experience of life and faith to the young,” said the Pope.
Acknowledge your grandparents or favorite senior citizens with gifts that will inspire a connection between the generations.
