Day by Day Through Lent

A scribe asks Jesus, “Which is the first of all the commandments?” (Mark 12:28-34). Jesus states the love of God as the first commandment and love of others as oneself as the second. We express our love for God in the ways we love one another.

Dianne Bergant, CSA, uses Scripture, stories, and thought-provoking questions to lead us on a journey of love and redemption through the Lenten season to rediscover that “Lent is a time to consider God’s graciousness despite our sins.” Each day, her reflections use an example from the history of the Chosen People to show God’s goodness has been evident since the beginning of time.
