Living Out Lent Today
Lent is a chance to look inside our hearts and outside our comfort zones, a chance to give God the space to reshape us in His image. It is an opportunity to move from our desert selves to the oasis that is the Easter Resurrection.
Author Kathleen Basi helps us with our journey using a weekly theme of daily reflections on Examen, fasting, almsgiving, stewardship, reflecting on our baptismal promises, and Holy Week. The more focused we are during the journey, the greater will be our joy when Easter arrives.

Kathleen M. Basi developed a deep love of liturgy and liturgical music after being in the youth choir. She is a liturgical composer and songwriter, and served four years as director of liturgy and music at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia, Missouri. She is a speaker as well as an author. Her books include Joy to the World: Advent Activities for Your Family; Bring Lent to Life; and This Little Light of Mine, a book on the beatitudes for children.
