Your Marriage Program Kit

Your Marriage, Liguori Publications’ new and exciting marriage-preparation program, prepares couples for a sacramental marriage and a lifetime of God’s grace.

The program opens couples’ hearts to the meaning and purpose of marriage, while it also nurtures the skills they’ll need to live as one, from effective communication to understanding household finance. Each topic is presented by experts in Catholic marriage and family life—giving you a trusted team by your side.

Church teachings on marriage may seem foreign to couples who live by today’s societal norms. The Your Marriage program also helps leaders to comfortably address these delicate teachings and situations, including contraception and natural family planning, cohabitation, annulment and convalidation and niterchurch and interfaith marriages.

The Your Marriage program contains three core components:

• The Participant Workbook
• The Leader Guide and
• The Program DVD

All three components work together to help participants gain a richer understanding of God’s plan for them in their marriage. The activities and exercises contained in the Participant Workbook encourage couples to apply the concepts presented in their reading. The reflection questions at the end of each session help couples dig deeper into each topic and share personal perspectives.

The easy-to-use Your Marriage: Leader Guide walks program facilitators step-by-step through each session. You’ll find tips, supply lists, and schedules for multiple formats, making this program flexible and convenient for all. The Chapter Guides are simple two-page spreads that connect the video segments from the DVD and list the key points and activities from the workbook, along with notes, quotes, and prayers. These guides are the key to keeping couples engaged and the program running smoothly.

The Program DVD features testimonials from real couples who are passionate about their marriages and eager to share their wisdom with your engaged couples. Redemptorist Father Byron Miller, the video’s host, provides spiritual guidance for participants to use now and after their marriage ceremony. There is a four-to-five minute video segment that accompanies each session.
