We Believe in the Resurrection
As Catholics, one of our core beliefs is that Jesus was resurrected from the dead so that we may too be raised from the dead to a new life in God. Yet it is still difficult to believe at times. Author Thomas H. Groome explains what it means to have an “Easter faith,” explaining the importance of Jesus' resurrection.
Our belief in the resurrection “means that the whole human family has been raised up effectively and definitively with Jesus Christ. As the divine and human are at one in him, so, too, we can live in at-onement with God,” writes Groome.
