The Spirituality of Running
When God created us, he created us as spiritual and physical beings. Our spiritual and physical selves complement each other: our bodies and minds make us who we are. To be at our best, we should strive to be as spiritually and physically healthy as possible.
This book will help you understand that spiritual health comes through prayers: simply talking and listening to the God who gave you life. It will also help you become a more committed runner and, thereby, physically healthier.
Prayer and running are exercises that require time and commitment. This book aims to help you become a person who prays and runs regularly, a person who then knows the joy a relationship with God brings and a person whose sense of physical wellbeing is enhanced.

James McShane is a Catholic priest of the United Kingdom. Born in Liverpool, he has always been a runner, even from his earliest days, and he represented his school in cross-country events. He has completed three London marathons, countless half-marathons, and 10K runs. Eventually, he began giving retreats on "Running and Spirituality" as he became fascinated by the body's and mind's (soul's) complementary natures and how these aspects of our being, when healthy, enhance our physical and spiritual well being, and our sense of worth.
