The Power and Benefits of Meditative Prayer
The Catholic Church is rich in powerful meditative prayers such as the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, novenas, litanies, and the tradition of lectio divina. While many Catholics feel these prayers are repetitive and boring, Dr. Gregory Knapik shows us that it is the repetition that helps us to adapt them within our busy lives.
Meditative prayers enable us to focus on imaging so that we can be fully immersed in the prayer act. Dr. Knapik includes a ten-step plan to embracing meditative prayer.
