The Gift of Saints
In this issue of Catholic Update, Byron Miller, CSsR cites a compilation of sources to fully explain what it means to be a saint. He also gives readers an overview of the canonization process and beatification process and how they have changed over the centuries. Finally, Fr. Miller uses the example of Saint Peter Claver to demonstrate the important role that saints play in our lives today.
"In the saints, we glimpse the bountiful goodness of the Lord! In every generation, our God--out of love--sends witnesses of the faith as friends to uplift us, protect us, and remind us of our universal call to holiness."
