Monica and Augustine
Saint Monica and Saint Augustine are two saints who faced many spiritual trials. Monica was a devout Christian, mother, and wife. Her son, Augustine, was also a devout Christian and a priest. Though before that happened he had many bad habits that didn’t please God. So Monica prayed for him every day and eventually he turned back to Christianity. Today Augustine is known as a great teacher of the faith, while Monica is known for her strong faith and persistence in prayer.
