Let Heaven and Nature Sing
Christmas inspires music—oratorios performed in magnificent concert halls, robust congregational singing in churches throughout the world, and simple folk melodies sung around the Christmas tree. In this edition of Catholic Update, Lawrence Livingston shares the backstory of several Christmas songs, (secular and religious) and considers what inspired the composers and how the songs evolved over time.
