Inviting Loved Ones to Rediscover Their Catholic Faith

As the number of Catholics in the U.S. increases each year, the number of those raised in the Church who no longer identify themselves as Catholic is growing much more rapidly. What can we do to invite our loved ones back into the fold? Author Melanie Rigney, herself a Catholic who returned to her Catholic faith after thirty-three years away, has gathered the leaving and returning stories of several Catholics and offers suggestions, statistics, resources—and, most importantly, hope—to friends and family members of those who have “fallen away” from their Catholic faith. When we have developed our own personal, passionate relationships with Jesus, our witness, prayer, and invitation will help draw others back to the Church.
