Fr. José Luis Guerrero was Canon of the Basilica of Guadalupe and played a keyrole in the processes of beatification and canonization of San Juan Diego. He graduated with a degree in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, and obtained the degrees of Civil and Canon Law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He has written numerous works on the origins of Mexican culture and especially on the Virgin of Guadeloupe.

Se licenció en Teología por la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana y obtuvo los títulos de Derecho Civil y Canónico de la Pontificia Universidad Lateranense de Roma. Ha escrito numerosas obras sobre los orígenes de la cultura mexicana y especialmente sobre la Virgen de Guadalupe.
