The Final Act of Creation: A Poetic Way of the Cross

Quick Overview

David Michael Belczyk merges two faith perspectives in his poetic Way of the Cross, The Final Act of Creation. By drawing together the traditional Way of the Cross with one implemented by Blessed John Paul II in 2003 that is based on Scripture, the author helps readers to enter deeply into Christ’s last hours of life. Readers will recall not only Christ’s suffering but also Christ’s unity with human suffering, giving a deeper scope to the existence and redemptive meaning of the suffering that remains in creation. Beautifully composed and spiritually evocative, this Way draws all to enter prayerfully into our Lord’s agony with a new heart.
