Local Paper Recognizes the 70th Anniversary of Liguori Publications

Liguori Publication

This past week, the Arnold-Imperial Leader, an established local newspaper, recognized Liguori Publications for its 70th anniversary in the Catholic publishing industry in an article entitled “Looking Back – To 70 Years of Liguori.”

The article by Tracey Bruce gives an overview of the campus and company’s history starting from when Fr. Donald Miller along with a group of Redemptorists published the Liguorian magazine and established Liguori Publications in Barnhart in 1947.

The article also describes how they grew the company and campus to become what Bruce describes as, “one of the largest Catholic publishing houses in the country.”

The campus became its own town, housing Liguori Publications, a post office, a cemetery, a healthcare facility, a convent and a monastery. And Liguori Publications continues to spread God’s word through printing bulletins, Catholic books and much more for both churches and individuals.

We appreciate the recognition of our 70th anniversary that the Arnold-Imperial Leader has given us through this article, and plan to continue our work for many years to come.

Liguori Leadership: Wendy Barnes, Liz Herzing, Fr. Byron Miller, and Mary Wuertz von Holt
