Liguori author Dr. James L. Papandrea is a man of many talents. As an author and musician, and Associate Professor of Church History at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, he showcases his versatility by performing Advent and Christmas music before his next book signing at Marytown Retreat Center on Friday, December 9.

This will take place at the 2nd Annual Nativity Open House at the National Shrine of Maximilian Kolbe part of Marytown near the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Mundelein Seminary in Libertyville, IL, from 2:00-4:00 pm.

For the first hour of the event, Papandrea performs Advent and Christmas tunes along with some of his original songs.

After the concert, Papandrea signs any book of his purchased at the bookstore, including Spiritual Blueprint and Trinity 101: Father, Son, Holy Spirit from Liguori Publications, along with his new book, From Star Wars to Superman, and copies of his CD, Still Quiet Voice.

Papandrea performed at Marytown’s first annual Nativity Open House last year along with Anna Nuzzo, a musician colleague of his. When the shrine asked him to perform again, and hold a book signing within their bookstore afterward, he was happy to comply.

“It’s fun to inject music as a way to enhance my speaking engagements and book signings, and also raise awareness of my books,” said Papandrea.

Papandrea also authored three pamphlets: Pray (Not Just Say) the Lord’s Prayer, Rezar (no sólo repitir) el Padre Nuestro and How to be a Saint. His music can be found on Amazon and iTunes.
